ABOUT KKCC
Letter from our
Managing Director.
Hello! I’m Kristy Kade, KKCC’s managing director. I’ve always believed the personal is professional. Motivated by my own formative experiences, I built a successful career advocating for women and girls.
I started out on the frontlines in the US, then moved to international organizations. I’ve been everything from a community organizer to a global CEO, and have experienced first-hand how misalignment between what an organization says it stands for, and how it operates, undermines morale and mission.
As a leader of teams, departments, and organizations—both large and small—I made it my mission to make them better at what they do, by making them better places to work. In my nearly 20-year career, it’s the changes I made inside of my workplaces that I am most proud of and know have made the biggest difference in people’s lives.
So, after two decades working to strengthen communities around the world, I decided to redirect my focus to do the same inside of organizations. The truth is we spend most of our lives at work. We remake work, we remake people’s worlds.
The work continues to be deeply personal for me. I have been there too. Out of alignment and feeling out of sorts at “the office”, and thankful for the guidance and support from others who navigated similar waters.
Let’s line up a time to chat!
What KKCC believes:
Culture starts at the top - but it doesn’t end there.
Culture isn’t fixed, but it can be fixed.
Conflict isn’t bad. However, avoiding it usually is.
Employee well-being drives impact.
There is no ideal culture - it’s the disconnect between what is said and done that creates discontent.
Culture flourishes when you align what you stand for with how you operate–from beginning to end!
